Memorial Day

Memorial Day, this is a day that I traditionally spend some time thinking about my grandfather and watch some sort of war movie. My grandfather died in 1994. My grandfather introduced me to history and it's significance to current and future events. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II serving in France and Germany. His service has always been very dear to me, and I am thankful for his service along with the service of all of the other brave men and women who serve the U.S. military. Typically I enjoy watching movies like Saving Private Ryan, but tonight I'm watching an older CNN documentary that I have on the Cold War. Long live the history buffs!

Leadership Readership Starts Today!

Today is the beginning of a new day of Leadership Programs at West Texas A&M University. This fall semester has seen a lot of change and today is a type of symbol of this change. I am excited to announce that 50 lucky people, the first to come and pick-up a copy, will receive a FREE copy of Malcolm Gladwell's book, Outliers. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I must say that this book is simply fantastic! It will really challenge the way you think about success and those we typically think of as successful. Come by and pick-up a copy today in the CORE Office at WT. The CORE Office is located in the JBK Student Center. Until next time....
